Did anyone ever read Damage Control? In volume 2, there are two guys in battle suits who are trying to come up with a suitably menacing name for a vilainous duo. They try Clean and Jerk (That sounds great, so long as I get to be Clean), Hammer and Sickle (too Russian), and finally end up using New and Improved. The issue also features She-Hulk getting creamed and destroying a house, because when your break the fourth wall, the structure just falls apart (extremely dated She-Hulk joke).
P.S. When is Peter’s sister supposed to have her baby?
Ben Hunt
This from the man who would later be frustrated in his attempt to name characters “Nuck” and “Futz,” instead having to settle for “Fite” and “Madd.”
I hate to mention this, but in a Wolverine trade paperback that I got recently, the team of “T&A” was actually used to represent a female assassin duo.
In Damage Control, was it a house or an office structure?
And yes, very dated She Hulk ‘joke’ but maybe more of an apt comment on the premise of the series at the time?
I remember Marvel comics had Milk n’ Cookies.
I was pretty impressed with Fear & Loathing in the latest YOUNG JUSTICE. Are they PAD creations?
Best,
Julio
No matter what kind of duo you come up with, the “and” part should always, always be spelled this way:
‘n
Example: Blood ‘n Guts
So exactly what was DC’s problem with using Nuck ‘n Futz as character names? 🙂
That
PB & J ?
Hey, don’t forget SACHS & VIOLENS, which PAD wrote.
Unless of course, I came late and that’s what really started this thread.
