Put a little bit of pirate-ness into it and call it “Aye! PAD”
Heh. No kidding. Kinda makes the Funny or Die video about the “IPAD” seem rather prescient.
>> Crap. Well, there goes the title of my autobiography.
I would use your autobiography a lot more than I would an iPad.
I just can’t see it being of any use to me whatsoever, given that I already have internet access with an iPhone (which I love) and laptop (with USB ports too!).
Sorry – don’t mean to turn this into a tech blog, but iPad has been touted as the second coming of digital comics – I’m not convinced (not in its current iteration, anyway)
Well now you’ll just have to take another route – how about “But I Digress – The Musical”?
The reaction to the iPad has been interesting, to say the least. There was months of speculation and build up, and then it’s officially announced… and people generally seem to be scratching their head saying “That’s it?”
.
Or, worse for Apple, they’re completely mocking the hëll out of the name, which was apparently thought up by a guy who’s never had a girlfriend in his life. I’m already seeing stuff that makes the jokes about the Wii look tame by comparison.
Why not, titles can’t be copyrighted.
Of course if the IPad isn’t a success, you wouldn’t want to anyway.
Re-read my post, it sounds like I’m serious. Of course, I’m joking around.
There’s always “My Struggle”. Wonder why nobody ever uses that one?
Or you could use Charlie Chaplin’s redundant;
“My Autobiography”
iPAD – Apple’s new feminine hygiene appliance?
edhopper: Why not, titles can’t be copyrighted.
.
Luigi Novi: Exactly. In fact, Peter could use precisely because the use of a pre-existing term to evoke a different meaning as the title of a book is common.
.
And if Peter doesn’t like that, he can modify the title in order to differentiate the small paperback version from the larger hardcover. The former can be called I, Mini-PAD, and the latter can I, Maxi-PAD. 🙂
Well, Since IPOD and IPAD are now taken, he could aways go for I, PED, I, PUD, or I, PID — or better yet I,BID — it evokes both his CBG Column and makes one think of a scholarly citation.
…and here I thought his biography along with his ideology, candor and spot on observations of society would be called “PAD on the back”. In some circles, it could evoke an image of PAD as the proverbial monkey on your back, yet at the same time when you picked it up at your local book store outlet (if one exists)it could also serve as nice tongue in cheek kudos for picking up his life story.
It shouldn’t be a problem. By the time your autobiography is published, the iPad will be completely forgotten anyway.
.
No problem.
.
I Am PAD
