COMIC BOOK: THE MOVIE

Coming soon on DVD is the documentary “Comic Book: The Movie,” and there’s a clip of me being interviewed by the documentary’s director, Mr. Swan (who, by the way, is tired of being told he looks like Mark Hamill and doesn’t see the resemblance.) It’s at the following website:

  1. I dont see the resemblence either.

Thats a very good point you make about how violence gets ‘sanitized’ in TV and comics making it seems less horrific than it really is.

If violence were to be portrayed with more accuracy then people might be less willing to engage in it.

BTW, I finally finished ‘Tong Lashing’, and enjoyed it very much.

What are the odds on seeing the Apropos series continue?

  2. I’ve seen this film promoted heavily at comic conventions. So heavily that I assumed it would get a theatrical release. Aren’t they even putting it in a few of those little theaters? You know, those (I hesitate to say it but you know it’s true) gay theatres near college campuses, to meet the minimal qualification for an Academy Award?

  3. I was one of the large crowd at Comic-Con in the scene in the movie where we’re all pretending to be a large crowd at Comic-Con. I wonder if I’m actually ever on screen.
